I get asked a lot how I grew my following on Instagram so today I thought I’d share something that has really helped me! Before I jump right into the post, I’d like to thank LadyBossBlogger+Elaine Rau for sponsoring this blog post!
I recently started taking Elaine‘s course “How To Make Money As An Influencer” and realized three mistakes I was making on my social media platform within the first 20% of the course. Once I started making the necessary changes I’ve seen my Instagram grow drastically!
Here are my initial thoughts on the course and the three things I started implementing immediately.
As many of you know I’m a new mom. My beautiful baby boy is 2 months old! It’s so much fun but it’s also a lot of work; with being short on time I knew I wanted a course that is easy to understand and straight to the point.
That’s one of the things that I love about LadyBossBlogger’s course. There’s no going through module after module of useless information just to get to the point, like so many other courses make you do.
From the start it dives right into what we are all searching for: how to make money and grow our influence! Like I said- I immediately saw things I could change on my platform to help it grow, and with being a first time mom, it was so nice that I didn’t have to spend hours on the computer.
I started my Instagram in the Spring of 2019 and after months of trying to get it to grow into something successful, I gave up! I couldn’t get past about 100 followers; I had heard about different courses but didn’t know which was the right one for me.
The 3 Changes I Made:
- Post Consistently: Elaine goes into detail about just how important it is to be consistent with your posting, how to edit your photos to create a consistent and appealing feed, and which tools are best to use so you can “auto post.”
- Engage! It’s called “SOCIAL” Media for a reason! I’m actually embarrassed I didn’t realize this one sooner. 😛
- Reach Out! There are thousands of Influencers out there, don’t expect brands to come to you. Instead tell them WHY they should work with you. In her course Elaine tells you what tools to use to stick out to potential brands, which could turn into business deals and so much more!
As of right now, I’m only half way through her course, and I’ve already seen a huge difference in my followers and engagement! I can’t wait to see what my end results will be!
